A WISE MAN
A WISE MAN - 2026, A web-based animation that scrapes the internet for headlines across a wide range of sources so they can be observed and interpreted by a simple semantic network represented as a thinking, human subject. A semantic brain map created by Gallant Labs (Huth et al), which relates types of objects and experiences to certain physical areas of the brain, was used to structure this greatly reduced approximation. As information represented as white text enters his ears and eyes, it is processed by the network. This process is visualized as a ribbon of energy representing a single thought, passing through the areas of the brain activated by the input text. RAG-style vectors of related terms project from the brain as well. Finally, the input is translated into a new sentence using basic grammatical rules and the limited vocabulary of the network into a novel, textual abstraction.
